Board of Directors Volunteering Public Meeting Notices/Events

Tillamook County Transportation District was formed July 1, 1997 to serve the transportation needs of the residents and visitors to Tillamook County. TCTD provides three types of service, all wheelchair accessible:

  • Dial-a-Ride - a demand response, curb-to-curb program that utilizes both paid and volunteer drivers who help people get around their communities.
  • Fixed Route Bus Lines - operate throughout the county on timed schedules, but may deviate off route to assist senior or disabled riders.
  • InterCity Bus Service - daily service between Tillamook and metro Portland that connects riders to other forms of public transportation (AMTRAK, Greyhound, TriMet, Airport MAX).
TCTD services are primarily supported by rider fares, state and federal grants, and a local permanent property tax levy with timber revenue sharing. The District is overseen by a Board of seven publicly elected officials who serve four-year terms. Their public meetings are held monthly, please click the public meeting link on this page for more information.

VOLUNTEERING

Our Dial-a-Ride program would not be available if it were not for our amazing volunteer drivers. Volunteer drivers operate our North and South County vans, and are also needed to extend central Tillamook's hours of service. Our volunteers drive our fuel efficient, wheelchair accessible, low-floored mini-vans to help riders get where they need to go. Many riders use Dial-a-Ride to get to doctor's appointments, go shopping, see friends, get home from school, or get to work.

If you love to drive, help neighbors, and have several hours per week to give to your community . . . welcome aboard! TCTD provides the training, insurance, well-maintained vans, uniforms and a wonderful new group of friends.
